He had stayed the night at Partnership and left when we arrived, going North. <font size="4"> Did anyone experience any Covid symptoms after they arrived home. Hopeing Chris &/or Ed & crew can get to them(check with Herb, as to location).</div><div dir="auto">Tom Dillon walked & cleared the south end of his section.</div><div dir="auto">Chris & David Atkinson cleared blowdowns north of Chatfield shelter, then weedwacked the boardwalk at the RXR tracks.</div><div dir="auto">David Faucette helped with the above blowdowns.</div><div dir="auto">Jim, Betsy & Marian closed the privy permanently(for now) @ Chatfield shelter. </div><div dir="auto">Then David F, Betsy T, Marian J & Jim H went to Tilson South & installed a new green&white foot traffic only sign & did some lopping. Then drove to Bear Garden Hostel to check in & say Hi to Bob the owner. Bob & Beth are always glad to see PATH folks.</div><div dir="auto">Then Betsy, David, Jim & Marian went to the O'Lyestry parking lot, did some lopping & checked on the gravel we spread on the access trail back in April.</div><div dir="auto">Friday evening, Peter Whiteis & Michelle Nester joined us at Moon Dogs restaurant in Marion for a wild & crazy fun time.</div><div dir="auto">Busy with people, Marian found the outside deck with plenty of room for the 11 of us.</div><div dir="auto">Jerry(nice legs)Adams assumed the role as drink server, & got the drinks from the bar & delivered them to our table.</div><div dir="auto">The meals were very good.</div><div dir="auto"><br></div><div dir="auto">SATURDAY: Crews parked at the Partee property & hiked in. On the way in we met the owner of the house where we enter the woods to the old Desert Dog Hunting Camp cabin location . </div><div dir="auto">He was very welcoming, & Betsy & I had a good conversation about who, what & why we are.</div><div dir="auto">He remembers PATH & confirmed we are welcome to cross his land to access the AT.</div><div dir="auto">Moving along, we cleaned the woods of trash in the area beyond the old Desert Dog clubhouse cabin.</div><div dir="auto">Moving up to the AT, David F & Pete W, hiked north to Reed Creek area checking David's section of the AT.</div><div dir="auto">The rest of the crew started south to finish the "backslope sidehilling" on the south end of the Desert Dog trail relocation.</div><div dir="auto">Finishing that, we moseyed south, kibitzing along the way.</div><div dir="auto">The deranged man who was acting aggressively at Partnership shelter, as reported by Ridgerunner James "Slim Jim" Baum. James contacted Law Enforcement. 3 came out, talked to the man, but could not hold him, for lack of cause. </div><div dir="auto">Anyway, that deranged man passed us going north head down & didn't slow down as he passed. We recognized him dy the description James gave us. </div><div dir="auto">I reported his location & direction of travel to the appropriate people.</div><div dir="auto">David Faucette reported him passing them going north also.</div><div dir="auto">Our crew continued south to Davis PATH tenting site for lunch.</div><div dir="auto">During lunch we discussed the history of the Davis Path site.</div><div dir="auto">Finishing lunch we continued south to the location of the shortcut through the woods, & back to the parked vehicles.</div><div dir="auto"><br></div><div dir="auto">Back at Konnarock trail camp for Pot-luck Saturday nite.</div><div dir="auto">We were joined by 4 of Marcia Cope's daughters & grand daughters.
