[Path-list] Future of PATH Website and eMail List

PATH Folks,
So sorry to hear about Mark. However, I can assure you that the sky is
definitely NOT falling. The only way there would be an immediate issue
would be if Mark was actually running the server that the website and email
list was hosted on. I highly doubt that this is the case. The website and
email list are likely hosted by a group/company/ISP that gets paid to do
such things.
The PATH email list is also completely separate from the website but this
doesn't really matter as neither are likely to go "Poof" (or as some have
said crash) anytime soon.
The only issues that this creates is that there is no one to do any updates
to the website or deal with any unlikely issues with the email list.
There's definitely NO reason to have to start ANYTHING over. All that is
needed is to find another person/company to take over the upkeep and
maintenance of the existing web site and handle any mailing list issues.
As far as Facebook goes I wouldn't consider it to be a very good
solution aside from the privacy concerns. A FB group can be either public
or private but not both. PATH needs BOTH like the current website for
public consumption and a private communications system like the email list.
Thanks,
Steve
