-------- Original message --------From: Don Smyth via Path-list <path-list at path-at.org> Date: 10/13/21  7:32 PM  (GMT-05:00) To: path-list at path-at.org Subject: [Path-list] Trip report - 617 to Gullion Mtn PATH,I did basic trail maintenance today on my section, 617 to Gullion Mtn.  Nothing too exciting; the section was in good shape.  Cleared two blowdowns (one large and one small).  The grass in the two pastures is fairly low and not a problem.  Very little trash in the campsites.  The privy at the old Davis Shelter is full but typical for the end of the season.  The sidehilling work in the Desert Dog Relo section that was done in late spring this year looks really good! Met two SOBOs, Mr Bojangles and All There.  They had camped at Reed Creek last night and they're trying to finish the trail by mid-Nov.  Also, met one section hiker who is a professor at New River Community College in Dublin.  He has less than 50 miles to complete the whole trail!
