Hi Jim,
Thank you! That’s good to hear. I am conducting a survey of club archives to get a sense of their preservation needs, and where I can find historical records for interpretation purposes when the time comes. Has there been any discussion
within the club about transferring the archives to a library or university? I’m only curious because that is the route some clubs have gone to preserve and digitize their archives.
Thank you!
Dakota

Dakota,
I'd say they are in pretty good shape.
Most of the pertinent information is contained within the documents.
It would take a fair amount of digging to put the whole history of the club together & even with that, some of our history is still not in these documents and remains in the memories of older club members.
What are you looking for & why.

Thank you, Jim. Do you have a sense of what kind of shape they are in?

Hi Dakota.
I have the club archives in a cardboard box in my home in Titusville, Fla.

Hello Jim and Betsy,
My name is Dakota Jackson, and I am the new Associate Director of Visitor Services at ATC. My role focuses on managing the visitor centers, information services, retail, and interpretation.
I am very interested in getting a sense of the archives at each of the clubs along the Trail, and Kathryn gave me your information. Do you happen to know where PATH’s archives are located?
Thank you!
Dakota
